Police Charter Amendment Vote NO
Pushback on Mayoral Control
The Mayor presents the Amendment as ‘Local Control’. In fact, we have already have such control. All three Commissioners are Nashua residents. The current selection method has worked well for over 120 years. Be aware a majority of Alderman voted against the Amendment (8-6) and all present on August 10th meeting (13-0) voted to table further consideration until after the election until in order to permit careful reconsideration. The Mayor is demonstrating his disregard for ‘local control’
